The more checkpoints you complete past the second, the more stamina you unlock. The second checkpoint you reach (with the hand and crystal floating above it) will give you the climbing ability, albeit at a low stamina. Climbing is performed by grabbing one of the specific grab points, such as Rough Stone, Wooden Planks, Metal Chains, and Hanging Metal Rings. The challenge comprises 5 'levels' (or phases) with a Checkpoint Orb corresponding to each, and each gets progressively more difficult in terms of the climbing skill required. Once a Checkpoint Orb is activated, it will stick itself to your belt, but more Orbs will slow you down. Once you activate the first of many Checkpoint Orbs, your items will be whisked away until the challenge is completed, or until you leave the tower. The Climbing Tower is a challenge that will lock the Player in until they complete it. a small area dubbed The Tarn, & a long upwards trek through the Climbing Canyon. This treacherous journey will lead you past areas infested with Turabadas, Wyrms & Groteras.
